1. We are unable to refund & exchange goods without proof of purchase.
2. All goods must be paid in full prior to collection, delivery, or entry to the property.
3. No refund or exchange can be offered on items that have been purchased and are not faulty after 28 days.
4. Guarantee starts from the date of purchase regardless of any exchanges taking place.
5. Proof of purchase will be required if any appliance develops a fault and is under warranty period (excludes appliances covered by manufacturer warranty).
6. Delivery charge is not refundable and is one way only. Buyer is liable for all re-delivery charges including any goods which are to be returned for refund/exchange.
7. All items are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, UK Discount Appliances is not responsible for any faults. The buyer is responsible for contacting the manufacturer to report the fault and arrange a repair.
An uplift number will be required in case of an exchange or refund.
8. The guarantee does not cover a broken cooker knob, the oven door glass breaking, or any accidental damage caused by the buyer during use.
9. All Deposits will only be valid for 30 days. After 30 days the buyer will lose their deposit and the seller may sell the goods. A deposit cannot be refunded if the customer changes their mind.
10. All goods must be examined by the buyer before purchasing and on delivery as we sell transport damaged/graded goods. We cannot follow any claims for damages after accepting the goods following delivery.
11. We cannot compensate for the cost occurred for fittings when the item has been found faulty and a refund/exchange has been agreed upon.
12. Risk of goods shall pass to the buyer upon receipt of goods, where the buyer chooses to collect the goods themselves.
13. Where the seller agrees to accept the return of goods that are not damaged the buyer will be responsible for the cost of carriage. The buyer will ensure the goods are not damaged in transit when returning. The seller will not be obliged to accept goods damaged.
14. A Call charge will be applied if a member of staff/engineer has been called out to an item claiming to be faulty but no fault was found on arrival.
15. The seller is not liable for any damages caused to clothes or property during any breakdowns by washing machines.
INSTALLATION OF APPLIANCES
16. Please be advised wires and gas pipes are not supplied with Electric/Gas Cookers. We recommend that your cookers are fitted by Gas Safe registered fitters, a qualified Electrician as faults can occur if not fitted correctly. Proof may be required.
17. UK Discount Appliances is not liable for damages caused by an error in the installation of the Washing machine e.g. pipe stopper not removed/transit bolts not removed. This is not covered by the guarantee.
18. Fault in an item caused by blockages in pipes (ie washing machine not draining) is not covered by guarantee therefore refund or exchange cannot be offered. A call-out charge of 45 pounds will have to be paid.
19. UK Discount Appliances is not liable for any damage caused to the property during the delivery of goods.
REFRIGERATION APPLIANCES
20. Refrigeration appliances are not designed to operate in a location where temperatures will fall below 10 degrees centigrade (during winter months) or above 32 degrees centigrade (during summer months). In these conditions, the appliance will not operate efficiently causing the freezer compartment to run warmer resulting in frozen food defrosting. Any claim in respect of lost contents will not be covered by our guarantee.
21. The refrigeration appliance should be earthed and must be switched on for 24 hours before the food is placed in it.
22. FOOD CONTENTS; the guarantee for the appliance excludes the contents. You may speak to your Home Insurance provider to seek ‘Fridge/Freezer contents’ coverage with them.
23. MOVING HOUSE; please note refrigeration appliances must be transported in an upright position. Failure to comply with this will cause serious damage to the appliance and is not covered under the guarantee.
